chirpy with headaches. pretty happy with it all. much better than weeks 7-14...even last week. last week was fat and headachey.
though i had forgotten the fear that creeps in this week. the whole 'have you felt the baby move' fear. it kinda sneaks up on you. someone asks in passing and before you know it your obsessed. every twinge, every air bubble assessed for potential 'baby movement'.
i haven't felt anything yet. last time i had by now - thus worry kicking in. so, as usual, i've done some web searching to alleviate my fear. 18-25 weeks apparently, even with a second one. and it depends on where your placenta is, if you've got a cushion down there in front. so keep your fingers crossed that's what it is. only two and half weeks until another scan that can make or break it...or hopefully some good wind movement before that.

the good, bad and pretty ugly
i could start this blog with the wonder and excitement of being pregnant again. which i am, truly.
i thought about it for a few days and came up with good points – bigger boobs, better nails, thicker hair (on your head at least this is great). but yes, it took a few days to come up with these. i was at week 10 and feeling pretty ropey. i even asked a friend and she just fell quiet before we agreed that it was a miracle and left it at that.

so to be honest, the overriding sensations the first 12 weeks of this pregnancy have been pretty hideous. sickness, headaches, tiredness to name a few. then i started chatting with [moaning to] some of my fellow mums and mums-to-be and it turns out there is a whole HOST of things that are pregnancy hideous related that i had wiped clean from my brain.
so here, a none-medically proven but just putting it out there list as experienced by me or friends. bad and ugly.
this list is not exhaustive by any means, so add away...
• nausea / sickness
• headaches
• tiredness
• mood swings (as one friend put it, enough to make a grown man cry)
• did i mention tiredness
• skin tags (i do remember i got one on my chin last time. beautiful)
• freckles and moles - new and large
• constipation
• muscle stretch pain
• nosebleeds
• swollen sinus (accompanied by toothache/headache)
• eyesight deterioration
• flatulence
• sore boobs (a light rain feels like daggers)
• cramp (not just the belly ones)
• piles
• varicose veins (even in your fu-fu?! not experienced but it's a rumour one the web)
• forgetfulness

in the beginning...
about me. i’m pregnant. this is going to be baby two, and i cant for the life of me remember much about baby one’s pregnancy. whether it’s tiredness (note baby one) or just the body’s sneaky way of making you do it all again, i don’t know.
so i’ve decided to blog about this pregnancy, this way i have a record of it and all that happens.
don't get me wrong. this baby was planned - indeed i like to think of myself as hormonally compelled. they're so gorgeous! who wouldn't want another?
yeah. basically it’s an insurance policy in case i think about a number 3.
